Before Buying Parts or Booking Service

An error code identifies a diagnostic path, not a guaranteed failed part. Match the exact model and confirm the fault before ordering.

Build a useful service record

  1. Record the complete model and the exact displayed code.
  2. Write down when the problem occurs and what the equipment was doing immediately before it appeared.
  3. List only safe checks already completed and the observed result of each check.
  4. Photograph the display and exterior model label without exposing the serial number or personal information.

Questions for a repair provider

  1. Is the diagnostic fee separate, and is it credited toward an approved repair?
  2. Does the estimate include labor, parts, tax, travel and disposal?
  3. Is the work covered by a labor and part warranty?
  4. Will the technician confirm the part number and model compatibility before installation?

Before ordering a part

  1. Match the complete model suffix and original part number.
  2. Check revision, voltage, connector, dimensions and serial-range notes on the seller fit list.
  3. Use a model-specific parts diagram when the manufacturer provides one.
  4. Do not order a control board, compressor, sealed-system part or gas component from an error code alone.
